This Privacy Policy describes how your data is handled when you use the Recipes mobile application ("the App"), published by nope.

Data Collection

The App does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. All information you enter into the App is stored exclusively on your device. No data is collected in the background or while the App is not in active use.

Data Storage and Retention

The App stores the following types of data locally on your device:

• Recipes — recipe names, descriptions, ingredients, instructions, and notes, stored in a local database (Isar).
• Photos — images attached to recipes, stored in the app's local storage directory on your device.
• Preferences — your language selection and theme preference (light, dark, or system), stored via SharedPreferences.

None of this data is ever sent to our servers or any third party.

All data is retained on your device for as long as the App is installed. We do not retain any data on external servers. You may delete your data at any time by following the instructions in the Data Deletion section below.

Permissions

The App may request access to your device's camera and photo gallery solely for the purpose of adding photos to recipes. These permissions are only used when you explicitly choose to take or pick a photo. No images are collected or transmitted without your action. The App does not access your camera or photo gallery in the background.

Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or cloud services. The App functions entirely offline and does not require an internet connection.

Data Security

All personal data is stored locally on your device using secure storage mechanisms provided by the operating system. No data is transmitted over the internet, so there is no risk of data interception during transit.

Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete all App data by:

• Deleting individual recipes within the App.
• Uninstalling the App, which permanently removes all stored data from your device.

We do not store any of your data on our servers, so there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. All content is user-generated and stored locally.

Website Testing Applications

If you apply to test the App through this website, we collect the email address you submit. We use it to manage the tester list and contact you about the testing program.

The form sends your submission to SubmitKit, which provides the form service. We keep the email address while the testing program needs it, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page, and the "Last updated" date will be revised. Significant changes may also be noted in an App update.
